“All Hindus owe an apology to Muslims”: Film director Ram Gopal Varma tweets on Kumbh Mela

As the battle with corona continues in the country, more than a million positive cases are reported daily. Globally, India now ranks second with the fact that one out of every sixth individual in a positive case in the world is an Indian. The elections conducted in five states amid this along with religious festivals are the main reasons for this occurrence. The Kumbh Mela happening in Uttarakhand’s Haridwar has become the topic of controversy. More than 40 lakh people are expected to join the festival. Referring to the event, renowned film director Ram Gopal Varma tweeted, “All us Hindus owe an apology to Muslims.”

Posting an image of the Kumbh Mela, Ram Gopal Varma tweeted, “AHHHH AMAZING, OOOOHH, YUMMY! No they are not my words… That’s COVID speaking looking at the KUMBH MELA crowds today. How many lockdowns can set right this?” he expressed in his tweet.

“KUMBH MELAAA. GOOD BYE INDIAAA. WELCOME CORONAA”, he posted in another tweet. In another tweet, “The Delhi Jammat super spreader of March 2020 is like a short film compared to today’s BAHUBALIian KUMBH MELA.. All us Hindus owe an apology to Muslims because they did back then when they dint know and we did this one year after we fully know”, Ram Gopal Varma posted.
