Lucknow: The youngster who conducted the funeral rites of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was arrested by the Lucknow police. The arrested individual has been identified as Brijesh Yadav, a resident of Dalchapra in Riyoti.

Police said that the young man had performed a mock funeral using Yogi Adityanath’s image on the banks of the Ganga.
Brijesh was arrested following a complaint made by five priests. The priests who attended the funeral prayer said that Brijesh had lied to them and brought them to the banks of the Ganges to offer pooja. The priests alleged that Brijesh had forced them to perform the pooja. Citing attempt to create unrest, Brijesh was arrested by the police.
The incident was reported by the PTI news agency. It is also alleged that a video of Yogi’s mock funeral has been shared on social media.
