Jeddah: The Saudi Ministry is contemplating the implementation of Saudization, the domesticization policies in most of Saudi Arabia’s employment fields. Human Resource Development and Social Development Minister NG Ahmed-Al-Raajihi said that home-grown employment will soon be launched in education, law, restaurants, cafes, and hypermarket sectors.
The Minister disclosed this in his discussions with members of the National Committee of Contractors and Consulting Professionals.
Efforts are afoot to provide more employment opportunities to the locals in every department. He said that leisure time would be sought to empower university students to try to get them into the job market. A study on improving the situation of those involved in security work in ministries, semi-government agencies, and private sector organizations has been completed. They have been allotted minimum wage.
These projects are designed to boost the job market in the country, increase efficiency, attract global job markets, foster greater competitive power and attract more talented people to the market. Saudi Arabia has achieved good results through various domesticization activities during 2019-2020. More than 420,000 local men and women have been employed. The Ministry has also asked the organizations to utilize ‘Khuva’, the New Services Portal.
