Mangaluru : Minister U.T Khader’s brother, U.T. Iftikhar Ali’s house in Mangaluru was raided by the Income-tax department officials on Thursday.

Officials raided Iftikhar Ali’s flat in the lighthouse apartment and reportedly seized significant documents. An investigation is underway.
Since Wednesday, the homes of owners of nearly 11 medical colleges and hospitals have been raided by IT officials in various parts of the state, including Mangaluru.

As part of the same operation, U.T. Iftikhar’s house was also raided by the officials from the IT Department. The raid is believed to have occurred due to Iftikhar’s alleged partnership with the previously searched establishments.
