Lucknow : UP govt has implemented Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) throughout state pointing at increase in COVID-19 cases.

According to ESMA act the government servants are not allowed to involve in any kind of protests for 6months, People obstructing the rules will be fined with 1000rs or will be jailed for 1 year.
CRPC section 144 is also likely to be implemented along with ESMA act. UP govt has stated that decision on implementing CRPC section 144 will be made after discussing with Governor.
