In an incident that occurred on Thursday, a desperate woman was seen sitting near the CM’s Residence to request a bed for her COVID-infected husband. In the backdrop of not getting a bed in the hospitals in Bangalore, the woman approached the CM’s official residence and pleaded for a bed. Bengaluru police comforted the anxious woman and arranged a bed for her husband at Ramaiah Hospital. Unfortunately, before her husband could be taken into the hospital, he passed away, it is learned.

The deceased has been identified as Satish, a resident of Ramohalli. “Everything is busy, including BJS, HR city helpline, and my husband has been denied hospitalization as there are no beds, or oxygen at all”, the distressed woman had relayed her helplessness to the police. Despite the arrangements made by the police, her husband, who was in serious condition, died before reaching the hospital.
