“Closure of the borders and restricting vehicular movements are violations of the Union Home Department Guidelines. The decision of the Karnataka government to close the borders will be brought to the notice of the central government. Without the approval from the Centre, no state can close their borders”, he said on behalf of Kerala.

From 6 am on Monday, the travellers from Kerala were permitted by the Dakshina Kannada district administration to take the Talapady, Saradka, Mudnur, Menaal, and Jalsoor routes into Mangaluru.
