Budget | Petrol, diesel prices increased further; Citizens in shock!

New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman raised the burden of the common man with the budget plans revealed on Monday.

The fuel prices have risen by Rs 2.5 per litre of petrol, and by Rs 4 for diesel. The revised rate will go into effect from midnight today.

On petrol, an agricultural cess of Rs 2 and on diesel an agricultural cess of Rs 4 has been imposed. Hence, petrol and diesel prices have risen considerably.

The rise of the cess on oil has further burdened the middle classes. This will lead to an increase in the prices of daily commodities. Analysis of the budget indicates further economic distress for the people.
