Mumbai: In the editorial of the Shiva Sena’s publication ‘Saamna’, Shiv Sena has accused the BJP-led central government of attempting to sabotage the 60 days of peaceful protest undertaken by the farmers demanding the withdrawal of the farm laws, by instigating violence.
In its opinion piece, it has expressed that the incidents which unravelled on Republic Day in Delhi could not be believed at face value.
Farmers have been protesting at the Singhu border for the past 60 days. Farmer leaders had announced the tractor parade on 26 January. However, tractor riders who crossed the Delhi border after breaking barricades rushed straight to the Red Fort. In the morning, the Republic day celebration march has already taken place at Rajpath. But, in the afternoon, a sudden terrifying atmosphere was inadvertently created in Delhi. The fact that such an event occurred on Republic Day has pained everyone.
The BJP has propagated that the farmers’ struggles are being controlled by terrorists. However, the group that conducted a raid at the Red Fort was led by Deepu Sidhu. However, revelations have exposed that Sidhu is in the same camp as Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. Sidhu also has a close relationship with BJP MP Sunny Deol of Punjab. According to Farmer Leader Rakesh Tikayath, Deep Sidhu had entered the farmer struggle over the past few days and had been acting in isolation, whilst speaking about revolt, the Shiv Sena said.
