The Karnataka State Committee of the Popular Front of India is mourning the death of veteran freedom fighter, and pro-people activist HS Doreswamy.
Doreswamy, who was fully involved in the fight for Indian Independence, has since devoted much of his life to the benefit of all Kannadigas. He played an important role in the Quit India Movement and was instrumental in the Karnataka Unification Movement. Inspired by Gandhian ideology, he lived for the poor. He was known to be at the forefront of the people’s struggle through the fight for the rights of oppressed classes, land, and housing rights. Centenarian Doreswamy, a progressive thinker, was a tireless champion in the field of struggle. The demise of such a great spirit is a monumental loss for Kannadigas.
Doreswamy has always stood in opposition to the RSS conspiracies and their unconstitutional actions. Realizing the path of the struggle of Karnataka’s witness consciousness Doreswamy, Kannadigas need to nurture his philosophy and bring to life the land he envisioned. Similarly, in the face of current crises faced by the country, Popular Front hopes that a solution can be birthed through the acceptance of ideologies of personalities like him.
