Twitter India has temporarily suspended the Twitter accounts of several major organizations, and public figures without stating reasons for the suspension
The official Twitter handle of the Delhi Farmers’ struggle @kisanEktaMorcha has been temporarily suspended.
In addition to that, the Twitter account of The Caravan has been suspended citing legal demands. The Twitter accounts of Hansar Meena, Tractor 2 Twitter, actor Sushant Singh have also been affected.
Youth Leader Kanhaiya Kumar’s account had been suspended for some time, but Kanhaiya Kumar has revealed that it is now active.
Many have tweeted against the move by Twitter, demanding the withdrawal of suspension slapped on the Kisan Ekta Morcha Twitter account.
Many have criticized Twitter India on the social networking site, pointing that the ruling government has been trying to silence and target journalists, corporations, and public figures in a critical manner for speaking against the government.
