Chemistry Professor deceived with promise of Chancellor Post in Mangaluru University | Hindutva Organization’s leader Prasad Attavar arrested

In a case of fraud, Prasad Attavar, the founder and president of Rama Sena was arrested for allegedly cheating an individual of lakhs of rupees with a fake assurance of appointing him as the Chancellor of the Mangalore University.


Vivek Acharya, a professor in the department of chemistry at Mangalore University, registered a complaint at the Kankanady City police station alleging that he was cheated by the accused who promised him the Chancellor’s post in Mangaluru or Raichur University in exchange for Rs 17.5 lakhs.

Recognized in the Hindutva organization, Prasad Attavar had previously been booked at the Kankanady City Police station on charges of being a rowdy sheeter. Prasad Attavar is known to have been facing various criminal charges in Bunder, Kadri, and Kankanady police station.
